Liverpudlians enjoy a drink. Their sense of fun and love of a great night out guarantee that the city’s bars are lively and its nightlife is legendary.

There are also traditional pubs on virtually every street corner, where the welcome will be warm and the beer just the right temperature. Try Thomas Rigby’s on Dale Street, one of Liverpool’s oldest pubs that does a range of 40 + world beers and eight cask conditioned ales, or head for the Fly in the Loaf on Hardman Street for genuine Belgian and Germen beers.

For an alternative, put on your posh frock and slink o to the stylish V-Lounge in The Vincent Hotel in Southport, which becomes a private members club after 7.00 pm unless you are dining. Or try the ice cool Alma de Cuba inside the converted St Peter’s Church on Seel Street, a Cuban themed bar which does sexy salsa classes.
For the ultimate fashionable evening haunt, you should also check out Bar Four at the boutique Hard Days Night Hotel, which attracts a beautiful crowd and serves fun themed cocktails such as the Strawberry Fields-complete with vodka infused with grass from Strawberry Field itself. The Wro Bar and Lounge on Wirral Peninsula, Bar of the Year at he Mersey Partnership’s Tourism Awards, is another great choice, serving s fine selection of wines and beers plus a delicious menu full of the very best produce from the local area.
